ANTONIA BARELA, MT-BC

Antonia Barela is a Board-Certified Music Therapist in the greater Los Angeles area. Antonia
received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Therapy at California State University Northridge and
completed her clinical internship at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County where she
provided support to patients and families in the Hematology/Oncology Unit, Medical/Surgical
Unit, Neurology Unit, Inpatient Mental Health Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and the
Pediatric and Cardiovascular Intensive Care Units.

Antonia has experience working with a wide range of clinical populations including mental
health, addiction recovery, early childhood development, children and adults with autism,
individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and infants and children with
medical diagnoses. Antonia’s main instrument is oboe, and she is proficient on guitar, piano,
ukulele and voice.

Antonia uses a humanistic approach, striving to meet individuals where they are at and
supporting their individual growth and creativity through client-centered interactions. She looks
forward to having the opportunity to work with clients of all ages, needs, backgrounds, and
cultures at Harmonic Changes!
